1: Eliminate scratches
Put an end to scratches. Don't put anything sharp on the marble. If your home has a marble floor, put a cloth on the feet of tables and chairs. The marble kitchen counter should also be cushioned to prevent glassware and appliances from scratching the countertop.
2 clean often
Clean often. Marble is easily stained, especially if it is not wiped dry for a long time after dripping into liquid. Therefore, once orange juice, coffee, etc. drip onto the marble, it must be wiped dry immediately.
Other things that are easily stained should be removed in time if they get on the marble, including cumin parsley, curry powder, coffee grounds and green vegetables with leaves.
3 wipe
Wipe the marble with a damp cloth. Dust and stains on the marble countertop or floor can be wiped with a soft cloth dipped in warm water.
But don't scrape hard when rubbing, otherwise the marble will be scratched. After rubbing the marble surface in general with a damp cloth, use a little force to wipe around the stained area.
4. Clean
Use a natural mild cleaner or a special marble cleaner for deep cleaning. If a layer of dust or other stains has accumulated on the marble countertop or floor, you can pour a little mild detergent in warm water, and then wipe it with a soft cloth.
Never use vinegar to clean marble. Although vinegar is a natural cleaner with a good cleaning effect, because it is acidic, it will corrode if it is used on marble.
If it is light-colored marble, it can be cleaned with hydrogen peroxide, and the effect is very good.
5. Polishing
Use soft leather to polish the marble. The texture of soft leather is very soft, and it can be used to wipe off moisture and polish. Of course, wiping with soft leather is still the best polishing method.
